USJE Visit Members in Iqaluit: Meet with Member of Parliament, Lori Idlout

This past week, National President, David Neufeld and USJE Regional Vice-Presidents, Valda Behrens (RCMP, Justice, PPSC Alberta, NWT and Nunavut) and Carol Osborne (CSC Community- Parole Board of Canada- East) traveled to Iqaluit to visit our members in the RCMP, Justice, Public Prosecutions Canada and Correctional Service of Canada (Community).  The last visit USJE made to Iqaluit occurred in July 2019, prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Our Finance and Administration team is working diligently to process the USJE National Top Up for its members. We began processing payments Wednesday, May 24.

As you are no doubt aware, PSAC announced this morning that they have reached a tentative agreement for the more than 120,000 Treasury Board workers who deliver critical services to Canadians. The agreement will be subject to the vote of eligible PSAC members before being ratified.

As you are no doubt aware, PSAC announced this morning that they have reached a tentative agreement for the more than 120,000 Treasury Board workers who deliver critical services to Canadians. The agreement will be subject to the vote of eligible PSAC members before being ratified.

Tentative agreement reached with Treasury Board for 120,000 members

After nearly two years of bargaining leading to one of the largest strikes in Canadian history, PSAC has reached tentative agreements for the more than 120,000 Treasury Board workers who deliver critical services to Canadians.  

With the national strike now over for Treasury Board workers, members of the PA, SV, TC and EB bargaining groups are required to return to work beginning May 1 at 9 a.m. ET or their next scheduled shift after that date.
