Bargaining

On July 6, the date when mandated return to office four days a week came into effect, USJE and PSAC members took action at several Correctional Service of Canada sites to denounce a policy that they feel is unjustified and disconnected from the situation in the field. This mobilization followed other actions held in previous weeks, in particular on June 23 at the Guy-Favreau complex, where members from the Parole Board of Canada (PBC) and Justice Canada gathered along with the Regional Vice-President for Quebec (RCMP-Justice-PPSC-CSC Community-PBC), Annie Blanchette.  

On June 24, USJE Local 50081, supported by Regional Vice President (RVP) Jeff Sandelli, held a rally to show support for the Bargaining Team in the face of aggression by the Treasury Board related to despicable bargaining tactics/offers, Workforce Adjustment and the Return to Office mandate.

After months of waiting, we’re pleased to share that a date has finally been set for our arbitration hearing, now scheduled for March 10, 2026. 

The PSAC-TB National Bargaining Conference concluded on Sunday.  Prior to closing, the PA members completed their election process and elected 3 “at large” delegates and 5 alternates.  

Saturday marked the commencement of the election of delegates to the PSAC bargaining teams. The elections for the following positions were held for all bargaining tables TC, EB and SV as the PA members discussed and prioritized bargaining input.
