15-15-15

The USGE mobilization committee recently launched a new mobilization campaign called 15-15-15. The idea of this campaign is to have members rally on the 15th of each month for at least 15 minutes to support our bargaining teams.

Today we remember…

Today, we remember Louise Pargeter, a USGE member who died on October 6, 2004, while performing her duties as a Community Parole officer in Yellowknife. On this day, we take the opportunity to remember, and honour, Louise, as well as all USGE members who have lost their lives while working to keep Canadians safe.

USGE THANKS PAY CENTRE EMPLOYEES!

With the Phoenix pay system debacle, staff at the Miramichi pay centres are working long hours struggling to deliver pay to individuals working in 46 departments and agencies across Canada. Last week, USGE hosted a pizza lunch for all pay centre employees as a way to recognize these significant efforts.

Victory for USGE members

In a victory for USGE members, the Board found that the CSC’s use of its National Attendance Management Program (NAMP) at the institution in question violated the collective agreement and systematically discriminated against specific employees.
